About Amphawa
Amphawa is a district on the Mae Klong River, near the top of the Bay of Bangkok. It's been an orchard and trading community since the Ayutthaya period, and early Bangkok-era sources called it Suan Nok, the outer garden, for its fruit groves and waterways. Amphawa Floating Market is the main draw, and Tha Kha is another floating market in the district. TAT's last listing, from 2020, has Amphawa market open Friday to Sunday and holidays, noon to 8 pm, so check before you go.
