About Hua Hin
Hua Hin is the largest city in Prachuap Khiri Khan, on the Gulf of Thailand. It was a fishing village called Samore Riang, meaning rows of rocks, until King Prajadhipok made it popular as a resort in the 1920s. He built Klai Kangwon Palace here in 1928, and Siam's nobility followed. Today it's a relaxed family resort with a six kilometer beach, and most trains heading south from Bangkok stop here.
