About Phraya Nakhon Cave

This large cave is near Laem Sala Beach in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. Openings in the roof let in sunlight, which falls on the Kuha Karuhas Pavilion, built under King Rama V in 1890. The pavilion also appears on the provincial seal. Kings Rama V and Rama VII left their signatures on the wall. The name comes from a ruler of Nakhon Si Thammarat who is said to have sheltered here from a storm. You get there by boat and a 430 meter walk.
