About Thale Noi

Thale Noi is the northern end of the Songkhla Lake system, a shallow lake of about 28 square kilometers among swamps in Phatthalung. It became Thailand's first non-hunting area in 1975, and most people call it the Thale Noi Waterfowl Park. Come in the morning for the sea of blooming lotus and flocks of waterbirds. Part of the wetland is protected under the Ramsar Convention.
