About Sangkhla Buri
Sangkhla Buri is the northernmost district of Kanchanaburi, right on the Myanmar border, with Three Pagodas Pass as the border point. The district was called Wang Ka until 1939, and it also has a Mon name. It's a long way from Kanchanaburi town: the Thong Pha Phum area on the way is already about 175 kilometers out, so plan to stay overnight rather than make a day trip.
