About Ban Chiang
Ban Chiang is an archaeological site in Nong Han district of Udon Thani, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. It was discovered in 1966 and first drew attention for its ancient red-painted pottery. The finds show early farming and metalwork, and how the community changed over time.
