About Surin Islands

The Surin Islands are five islands in the Andaman Sea, 55 kilometers from the mainland. Ko Surin Nuea and Ko Surin Tai are the two big ones, split by a channel about 200 meters wide that dries at low tide. The park is known for its coral and sea life, including turtles and, on occasion, whale sharks and manta rays. It's also home to a Moken community you can visit. It closes for the monsoon, about mid-May to mid-October, and the dates are set each year. The 2026-27 season runs from October 15, 2026 to May 15, 2027.
